ZUBADAN
ZUBADAN is a Mitsubishi Electric air-to-water heat pump technology with additional refrigerant injection, designed to maintain heating capacity in cold weather.
ZUBADAN (Japanese for roughly “super heating”) is a Mitsubishi Electric outdoor unit technology for air-to-water systems. It uses additional refrigerant injection into the compressor (so-called flash injection), so heating output falls much less in cold weather than with conventional heat pumps.
According to manufacturer data, ZUBADAN outdoor units heat down to −28 °C outdoor temperature, and the cold-weather capacity of each model is given in the manufacturer’s tables.
Where ZUBADAN usually fits best:
- homes where the heat pump will be the only heat source and you want to depend little on the backup electric heater;
- buildings with radiators that need a higher flow temperature;
- colder regions of Lithuania with a lower design outdoor temperature.
Important: the technology does not replace correct sizing. Our engineer assesses heat loss, emitters and hot water demand, then checks what output the selected ZUBADAN model delivers in your conditions. You can make a preliminary estimate with our heat pump sizing calculator.
