„I-see“ sensor
„I-see“ is an infrared sensor in Mitsubishi Electric indoor units that scans room surface temperatures and controls the airflow accordingly.
A conventional air conditioner measures air temperature at the unit itself, which hangs high under the ceiling. The „I-see“ sensor scans the room and detects the temperature of the floor, walls and other surfaces, so the unit has a better picture of how warm or cool it is where you actually spend time.
More advanced versions also detect people in the room. Depending on the model and settings, the unit can:
- direct airflow towards or away from people so it does not blow directly in their faces;
- reduce output when nobody is in the room;
- distribute heat more evenly, taking colder zones such as areas near windows into account.
Several Mitsubishi Electric series have the „I-see“ sensor – wall-mounted MSZ-LN, MSZ-RW, MSZ-RZ and some cassettes. You will find the functions of a specific model on its page in our catalogue. If draught-free comfort matters to you, for example in a bedroom or study, our consultants will advise which series suits best.
